Another lovely testimonial received this week. I remember this job particulary well – it’s the first time I’ve worked with such a creative client. The shoot went brilliantly, and it was great to bounce ideas both ways. (The cookies brought along by Richard to aid the creative flow were appreciated too!)

In late 2011, I hired The Business Portrait Company to take some head-shots for my website based on an already well established reputation.

Being involved with the creative industry, Filmmaking in particular, I wanted something that was different to a standard head-shot that maintained my professional image whilst still being relevant to my line of work.

Stuart Carter was the photographer who worked with me, and when I arrived he could tell that I was more than a little nervous. However, those nerves were soon dispelled by Stuart’s warm, friendly personality and his great sense of humour. Wendy Spring’s Tree Spa and Beauty is a vibrant beauty salon, giving professional service with a warm smile. With a full book of customers, these photos had to be shoe-horned in between the staff arriving at 8:30am and the salon opening at 9:00am. Naturally, the planning stage was vital!

Bespoke headshots don’t have to be stuffy. Roy Reeves creates bespoke garden buildings, and his workshop was a perfect location for some portrait photography.

Having used the services or The Business Portrait Company and in particular Stuart Carter to produce some bespoke head shots for use on my company website and online media, I would like to recommend the services that they provide.

Stuart suggested the best way to represent myself in my situation was to take on site shots in my workshop, rather than something taken in a studio. Just a quick note to thank you for looking after me the other day. As you know, I was rather nervous about having my photo taken. I have had a couple of unpleasant experiences in the past which resulted in terrible pictures which then haunted me for many years.

As promised, we discussed what was happening and you put me at ease, and even coaxed a natural looking smile out of me. The process of deciding on the best shot and the tidying up that you did afterwards has given me a photo that I’m really pleased to use on my website.
